# jQuery DOM

## Removing Elements

Remove an HTML element:

### jQuery

              `$("#id").remove();`

### JavaScript

     `element.parentNode.removeChild(element);`

## Get Parent Element

Return the parent of an HTML element:

### jQuery

      `var myParent = myElement.parent();`
